Here’s how you can have the time of your lives in these summer holidays!

June is almost here, which means it’s time for the peak time of Summer holidays and a much needed vacation! A lot of people prefer travelling within India during vacations, simply because it is economically more viable and you don’t need to spare a lot of days if you don’t have any summer holidays at your workplace, which is pretty common if you aren’t in school or college. Here we give you a list of some really cool places to visit even if you are under a tight time schedule! Hope it helps.


Personally, this place has been on my bucket list since a very long time. It is beautiful with an extreme serene landscape, tourist attractions like St. John for the history lovers, Triund hill for adventurers, Namgyal Monastery, Bhagsung falls, Dal lake etc. The land of Dalai Lama and his entourage, it is a perfect place to hang out with your friends or spend some quality time with your family.



Bir is a village located in the west of Joginder Nagar Valley in the state of Himachal Pradesh in northern India. It  is a noted centre for ecotourism, spiritual studies and meditation. Bir is also home to a Tibetan refugee settlement with several Buddhist monasteries and a large stupa. The main attractions are adventure activities such as paragliding, camping, trekking, fishing , rock climbing and many more.


This tiny tea garden town, located in Tamil Nadu is a perfect getaway from the scorching heat of the summers. It is the second largest hill station in the Nilgiris. It has a very pleasant weather which stays throughout the year. Sim’s Park, Dolphine Nose Viewpoint, Lamb’s rock, Pomological Station and Katary Falls are some of the prime attractions here.



It is an important Ski destination is the mountains of Uttarakhand, India. It is fairly lesser known and only  after creation new state of Uttarakhand, Auli was marked as a tourist destination. Places that you can explore include Char dham – an important pilgrimage destination, the coniferous and oak forests, a small Hindu temple having connection to the legendry Hindu epic Ramayana is alos present. The weather is moderate during this time of the year. For an amazing skiing experience, the best time to visit is between January and March.



The smallest hill station in India, offers a kind of quaintness that is missing from all the other hill stations in India. It is perfect for a relaxed vacation a lot of greenery and less pollution. The most famous place to visit is the Panorama point, that provides a 360 degree view of the surrounding area. The view of sunset and sunrise from here is dramatic. Beautiful, British styled structure is preserved in Matheran.



Not many of us know about this most captivating hill town of Kerala, also known as the Green Paradise, it has thick forests and agricultural fields, perfect for a nature lover. It is blessed with rich flora and fauna, Meenmutty waterfalls, and Banasura Sagar Dam are the popular tourist attractions.



With a temperate climate, Darjeeling is extremely beautiful and soothing to the eyes. Surrounded with lush tea plantations, this place is beauty at its best. Main tourist attractions include, Tiger Hill, Batasia Loop and Peace Pagoda. A definite must visit!
